101 in 1001
I’ve seen a lot of these “101 in 1001″ lists all over Blog Land, so I’m starting my own.
Day Zero came up with this great plan for how to get people to set goals and obtain them.
The Challenge:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past – frequently simple challenges such as New Year’s resolutions or a ‘Bucket List’. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, study semesters, or outdoor activities.

We better meet up when you do #28!!
Oh for sure! There’s no question about that!
if you want a free option to #36 download Gimp. I have learned a few things and while i’ve never personally had photoshop to really use it, Gimp was easier for me to use from the beginning.
I love making goals! this is a great idea to keep you motivated and to visually see your accomplishments, nice work!
Let’s climb a “fourteener” next summer!!!!!!
I would love to show you a 14er to do in Colorado that will be easy – well not easy but definatly doable!
Oh dang, I’m probably gonna have to copy you on this .. just so you know. What a wonderful idea!!
What a great list! “7. Run in a sports bra and no t-shirt in public” scares the crap out of me! No matter how much weight I lose, I can’t seem to lose the belly.
Just started following you, I LOVE the idea of 101 in 1001! Good luck with accomplishing everything on your list
Hey I just found your blog & think this is such a good idea! I have actually never seen (or maybe never noticed) a 101 in 1001 list. I hope you don’t mind if I copy you!
p.s. Don’t you need to check off #85?
I really think you’re super ambitious, which is very admirable
A really great goal list!
I just made my own 101 in 1001 list! I was inspired by a lot of your goals, so I included some of them in mine. I think goal-stealing is ok, right?
Hey how is this list going?
Love this list – best of luck on your completion. You’re well on your way, eh?
